Lovable
Build and publish a no-login app prototype with Lovable
A browser-based builder where you describe an app in plain language, refine it in chat and publish it to a shareable address. Suited to quick prototypes.
Written from the tool's official pages, listed under Official sources at the end of this guide. Check them for current features, limits and terms.
Try it (opens in a new tab)Steps to try
- Choose a small idea, for example an internal tracker, a dashboard or a simple site, and list its three main screens or actions.
- Sign up and describe the app in the prompt box. The documentation suggests asking for realistic sample content and leaving out logins and databases at first.
- Open the preview and ask for one change at a time. Use the pointing and inline text edit tools for small visual fixes.
- Test every button, link and filter, and switch to the mobile view, then tell Lovable exactly what is wrong and where.
- Publish to the suggested web address. The docs say the live site is a snapshot, so changes appear only after you publish again.
- Add accounts or stored data later as a separate step, using the backend and Git sync pages, and have someone technical review it first.
Limitations
Credits are consumed as you build, so vague prompts cost attempts. A working demo is not production-ready; payments, authentication and personal data need proper design, review and testing.
Pricing
The docs say building uses credits and describe a free plan with daily and monthly limits plus paid plans. Check the official plans page for current limits and what publishing includes.
Privacy and data
Your prompts, uploaded files and any connected data go to the service. Start with sample data, never type passwords or keys into the chat, and read the security and privacy pages before putting customer information in a published app.
About the sources
Based on the vendor's published documentation, not hands-on testing. Generated apps were not tested.
Alternatives
v0 and Replit offer similar flows; hiring a developer or using a no-code tool may fit if you need guaranteed behaviour.
