Replit
Build and test a small web app in the browser with Replit Agent
A browser-based workspace with an AI agent that builds, runs and previews apps without local setup. A good place to test a simple idea.

Try it (opens in a new tab)Steps to try
- Choose one outcome, such as a page where visitors browse items and send a form, and write what success looks like.
- Create an account, start a new chat and pick the Website artifact. The quickstart uses Free Mode for its example.
- Write a prompt with the outcome, the checks you will run, and what not to build yet, such as login, database or payments.
- Wait for the preview, then use it like a visitor: click through pages, submit the form and resize to phone width.
- Ask for one focused improvement at a time and retest. Describe what you see broken rather than guessing at the code.
- Add login, a database or publishing only after the basics work, using the docs for each, and review before sharing.
Limitations
The Agent may need several rounds and the docs note it may recommend a higher mode for complex requests. Generated apps need testing, and security, payments and data handling need human review.
Pricing
The docs describe a Free Mode and paid modes and plans. Check the official pricing page for current access and limits instead of relying on this guide.
Privacy and data
Your prompts and project files live on the provider's platform. Use sample data, keep secrets in the platform's secrets tooling and out of prompts, and read the privacy terms before adding real customer data.
About the sources
Based on the vendor's published documentation, not hands-on testing. Generated apps were not tested.
Alternatives
Lovable and v0 are similar prompt-to-app tools; a local editor with a coding assistant keeps code on your machine.
